A Very Special Return Visit to Carlton Rotary

On Thursday 13th November, we were also delighted to welcome Jayne Seagrave , a former Rotary Foundation scholar whom Carlton Rotary was proud to sponsor for postgraduate criminology studies in Canada around 1984.

Jayne shared her remarkable journey with us — from her academic roots in criminology to founding a globally successful tool-company with her partner (Vancouver Tool Corporation) to her thriving career as an author of travel guides, academic books, and even fiction.

She also talked about her very meaningful role today as a Marriage Commissioner in Vancouver.

It was truly inspiring to hear how Rotary’s early support played a pivotal role in her career, and how she’s now giving back in such diverse and impactful ways. Thanks, Jayne, for coming back to share your story with us!
