This week at Carlton Rotary we were delighted to welcome to our meeting.
Earlier this year, Alice stepped away from her role at BWP to volunteer with Ziingo Women & Children’s Initiative in Uganda. She spoke passionately about the incredible work being led by Barbra Masibo and her dedicated volunteer team, who are making a life-changing difference every single day.
Alice shared powerful first-hand experiences of supporting families living in extreme poverty, and the very real, life-saving impact of Ziingo’s work. She told us about the children whose education and wellbeing rely on sponsorship, and how even the smallest act of generosity can completely transform a young person’s future.
It was an inspiring and humbling talk, reminding us all of the power of compassion, community and volunteering — no matter where in the world we are.
A huge thank you to Alice for giving up her time to share such a moving story of hope and resilience.
If you’d like to find out more about Ziingo’s work, or sponsor a child, please take a look at their page. Even the smallest donation really can make the biggest difference.
