Chair of Nottingham Civic Society, Graham Woodward, delivered a fascinating illustrated talk on the history of the Meadows.
The area was originally a flood plain extending from the River Leen to the River Trent, developed for housing in the mid 1800s, and then re-developed in the late 20th century.
Graham gave us an understanding of its culture, its buildings, and many famous people who have been associated with the area in some way over time.
