U3A visit to Ibstock Brickworks

Yesterday, Carlton Rotary members joined a few friends from U3A for a fascinating visit to Ibstock Brickworks.

We spent an enjoyable few hours learning about both the history and the future of brickmaking – a real insight into a craft that has shaped so much of our landscape.

To top it off, our hosts treated us to food at the end of the tour – the perfect finish to a very interesting day!
